Security and verification at USpin explained
Read how USpin protects your account with SSL encryption, KYC checks and AML monitoring, and how to request self-exclusion. Adults only.
USpin protects accounts with SSL encryption, mandatory identity checks before payout and monitoring of all transactions. On this page you can read which rules apply, which documents you need and how you stay in control yourself.
What the USpin terms cover
The USpin terms and conditions form the basis of every account. They're published in several languages; only the English version is legally binding. A few provisions from those terms matter directly for your security.
One account per person
USpin allows one account per person, address, phone number or email address, IP address and household. Accounts may not be sold, transferred or bought, and transferring money between accounts isn't possible. If duplicate accounts are found, all actions, promotions and winnings on those accounts are void and a 10% administration fee (minimum €30) is charged per extra account.
Player funds and balance
Player funds are held in a separate bank account but, according to the terms, aren't protected in case of insolvency. USpin doesn't grant credit and pays no interest on balances. In case of a system failure, all bets are void and you get your stake back.
Protection of your data and money
USpin works with modern payment solutions and encrypts personal data. These are the security measures in place:
- SSL encryption on the site for all data you send.
- Monitoring of all transactions under anti-money laundering rules; suspicious transactions are reported to the competent authorities.
- Deposits and withdrawals only via accounts, cards or wallets in your own name; third-party payments aren't allowed.
- Payout via the same method as the deposit; with several deposit methods, the withdrawal may be split.
- On card documents, only the first 6 and last 4 digits are visible and the CVV/CVC is covered.
- The site only uses essential cookies; they collect no personal data and information is never sold.
If USpin detects fraud or money laundering, a withdrawal may be refused, the account may be frozen or closed and funds may be withheld. With a chargeback, the account may be blocked and the balance may become negative.
Verification (KYC) and anti-money laundering checks
You can play right after signing up; the first payout only follows once your account is verified. Without verification of your personal details, withdrawals aren't possible. This is how the check works:
- Upload a valid copy of your passport, ID card or driver's licence in My Account. Sometimes a selfie holding the document is also requested.
- Provide proof of address: a complete copy of a recent utility bill with your name and address, no older than 3 months. The address must exactly match your profile.
- Verify each payment method separately: a credit card with front and back (digits masked), a screenshot of your Skrill profile with name and email address, your Neteller profile with name and Neteller ID, or a bank statement with name, account number and bank logo.
- Uploading doesn't work on your phone? Not all mobile devices support it; use the desktop version instead.
- For every payout above the equivalent of €1,000, extra verification follows. USpin can also do this for lower amounts, possibly by phone or with facial verification, and may request documents on the source of your funds.
Documents are treated confidentially and the team promises a quick completion of the verification.
Fair games
The games at USpin come from external game suppliers. They use computerized random number generators, so the outcome of every game round is random. In the lobby you'll find studios such as NetEnt, Play'n GO, Evolution, Nolimit City, Quickspin, Yggdrasil, Hacksaw Gaming and PG Soft, among others. An overview of all studios is on the providers page.
Fixed rules also apply to the network jackpot: jackpots drop at random, participation is via Opt In and only real money counts. Automated simultaneous play or selectively playing games with high jackpots counts as abuse.
Tools to stay in control
USpin has its own Responsible Gaming page and offers tools that you request via customer service.
Self-exclusion
You request self-exclusion via customer service, stating the period you want. When it ends, your account is reopened automatically. During the exclusion:
- you can't open a new account;
- entries in competitions or lotteries from before the exclusion are forfeited, as are unredeemed non-cash prizes and invitations;
- you don't receive marketing messages;
- you aren't eligible for cashback and rakeback.
Closing your account
You can have your account closed via customer service, but only with a zero balance and no pending withdrawal requests. If you close an account with a positive balance or an ongoing withdrawal, the funds are cancelled and you only get your last deposit back. So withdraw your balance first.
If something goes wrong
Customer service is available 24/7, all year round, via live chat and by email at support@uspin.me. If you can't resolve it together, submit a written complaint:
- Send an email to support@uspin.me from your registered email address.
- Put the word COMPLAINT in the subject line.
- Include your username and full name.
- Give a detailed explanation with the relevant dates and times.
The Complaints Resolution Committee responds within 10 days; for particularly complex cases this period may be extended. After that, external dispute resolution options are open.
Frequently asked questions about security
Do I have to be verified before I can play?
No, that's only needed for the first payout. Upload your documents in My Account in good time to avoid delays.
Why is there an extra check on a large payout?
For every payout above the equivalent of €1,000, USpin carries out extra verification as part of the anti-money laundering checks.
How do I exclude myself?
Contact customer service via live chat or email and name the period you want. Your account then reopens automatically.
USpin is for adults only. Gambling carries financial risks: set your own limits and take regular breaks.
